This 14-karat yellow gold Snap-Set™ post earring, ideal for inexpensive gemstones, is quick and easy to set and accommodates one 6mm round faceted stone. To set, lay the stone face down and position the mounting over the stone. Press gently on the mounting, and the prongs snap into place, securing the stone. Some adjustments may need to be made, especially on hand-cut stones. The friction post features a groove that helps provide the most secure and comfortable fit; post earrings require an ear nut to keep the post in place.

How To Use Snap-Set Settings
Snap-Set settings make setting faceted stones into earrings, pendants and more quick and easy. Designed with prong ends pre-shaped and level, Snap-Sets ensure a clean, attractive finish.

1 Lay a clean stone face down on a clean and level surface.
2 Position the Snap-Set™ mounting over the stone and push downward evenly and gently. The prongs of the setting will spread apart just enough to accept the stone, then snap closed over the girdle, securing the stone in place.
3 Gently tighten the prongs, pressing on two opposing stones at a time as you work your way around the stone.
4 Machine-cut stones should fit into the setting perfectly. Hand-cut stones may require you to slightly adjust the prongs.
